The SIX Reasons You NEED Wedding Videography
Wedding Videography is definitely on the rise. Just a few years ago it may have been something that most brides considered to be a treat, but not a necessity. These days it is much more popular, but some people still don’t see the point. So why should you have wedding videography for your day?
1. Your Day Will Go By in the Blink of an Eye
I know you’ve probably heard this a million times, but it is true. Your wedding day will breeze by so quickly, and you’ll want a way to look back on it and remember some of the details. Of course, the photographs from your day will help with this and be an incredibly important part, but video will really help you re-live the moments. You will be able to watch yourself (and your guests!) in a way that you would not otherwise.
2. You Get to See Things You Won’t See on Your Big Day
On your wedding day you will probably spend your day getting ready with your bridal party. Your videographer (or videographers) are going to spend their time all over the place gathering all of the details of your day. In your wedding video you will get to see yourself getting ready, your future spouse getting ready, your guests arriving, and tons of other little details that you never would have gotten to see otherwise.
3. Remembering Friends and Family
Life changes quickly. A wedding video is an amazing thing that you will be able to look back on for years to come. Someday down the road, you can watch your wedding video and see your tiny cousin who is now all grown up, twirling around on the dance floor. I recently had a bride thank me for capturing so much of her family in the wedding film because it was especially dear to her after her grandfather passed away. Although it may not be the cheeriest thing to think about, life does change. Children grow up and loved ones pass away. A Wedding video will help you capture all of the important people on your special day.
4. Share the Experience with Friends and Family who were Unable to Attend
If you have friends and family who are not able to come to the ceremony in person, a wedding video can be a great way to still have them feel included. They can watch all of the details compiled into a video and still get to feel the love and emotions of the day.
5. Do it for the ‘Gram
Let’s be honest, we all want something to post on social media, don’t we? A wedding video is a great thing to post on Facebook or other forms of social media to get those ever so coveted “likes”. It’s also a great way to remind your guests of how much fun they had at your wedding!
6. It’s Your Love Story
a GOOD wedding video is more than some clips of things that happened on your wedding day. It’s a cinematic film that captures your day and the story of your love. When I film a wedding I always want to make sure that I am capturing the couple as a whole. I like to create films that not only show the day, but REFLECT the couple. If the couple is very silly and fun, I wouldn’t make a serious and somber wedding film. Your wedding video should show your wedding day as well as capture the personality of you and your spouse.
